CAMERAWORK

  1) Pick  three  camera  shots  from the Doctor Who scene and explain what type of shot it is and what meanings or effect they have on the audience. a) Birds view 3:33 shows the top of the screen b) medium close up 3:17 shows the startleness c) close up 2:32 shows her feelings and reaction 2) Pick  one  camera  angle  that is used in the scene and explain the effect it has on the audience.  One camera angle is the close up i chose this because it reflect Sarah Jane's face and how worried she looks. 3) Pick one aspect of  mise-en-scene  from the scene and explain what connotations are being communicated to the audience. There seems to be a recurring flickering bright light this could suggest the building is low funded or not state of the art technology as the quality seems to be not recently filmed.

Mise-en scene Stranger Things opening scene

STRANGER THINGS OPENING SCENE In   the beginning of the first scene we see a man wearing a lab coat from this we can suggest he is a scientist of some sort. There is a shaky light in the elevator this could illustrate that the building is low funded. He is urgently running to the elevator as he might be scared or worried. The character at the end was running away so ran into a shed which looked abandoned or not in use often. It was dark you can receive  from this that something sinister is going to happen.

Denotion and Conotation

Denotation This image presents a boy who is poor wearing a light blue shirt. As we can see there is a text that says 'dig toilets Not graves'.The text is written in bold, white letters, which is a neutral colour. Connotation The boy is wearing rough and worn out clothes to show in this advert that his guardians are not able to afford or purchase quality clothes. Therefore shows he has the support of water aid for the basic necessities of life. This then leads to the background which looks like a desert in Africa with no available water nearby. Analysis The effect is created for the viewers to feel sympathy and guilt for the boy in the advert and the  statement is showing that there are other people living in harsher conditions and need your help. Denotation This image is an 1914 advertisement of Lord Kitchener who was a coloniser of Sudan and South Africa he also built Britain's first mass army.In this poster he is wearing dusty lifeless colours. The text here says "YOUR COU
