 WWW: It’s great that your blog is set up and you’ve posted a really good film poster analysis. The fact you are picking up on studio details, target audience and also issues of representation (and gender stereotypes) so early in the course is brilliant. The challenge now is to make sure we are publishing ALL our work on time and fully complete.

EBI: Currently, you don’t have anything published aside from the film poster analysis. I’m sure most of this is in draft form so simply needs checking and publishing. The first priority is to make sure the following is completed and posted to your blog:

Reflect on your first month of Media. What do you feel is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

The denotation and connotation is my strongest piece of work so far.My weakest is the camera work task on Doctor Who.I need to develop on analysis.

  Newspapers: Daily Mirror - Audience and Industries Audience 1) What is the Daily Mirror's audience? List the key statistics here. - The Daily Mirror audience is older with almost half the audience aged 65+. In terms of social class, most are in the C1, C2 DE social classes. They are likely to be in the Struggler, Resigned or Mainstream psychographic groups.  2) Why do the Mirror stories on the CSP pages appeal to the Daily Mirror audience? - The Daily Mirror in our CSP  offers the audience opportunities to engage with the stories on a much more personal level .   Audience 1) What are BLACKPINK fans known as - and what would the demographics / psychographics be for the BLACKPINK audience? Blinks the demographics are young woman and mostly teenage girls and the psychographics would be located in the Philippines  and Indonesia along with some other Western countries as well as the UK and US 2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for How You Like That? Diversion: music video conventions – performance, effects, fast pace etc. Personal relationships: Fan interaction online through social media is a key element of K-pop’s global success. Fans feel like they ‘know’ the band members. Personal identity: K-pop fandom often involves copying the look of band members and seeing their own style reflected on screen. Surveillance: Western audiences gain knowledge of Korean music and culture. 3) Pick out three particular shots, scenes or moments in the video that would particularly appeal to BLACKPINK fans.
